CCI LEADERSHIP TRAINING REFLECTION

First Traininq

We learnt abOut Self-Discipline & Time Management. Self-Discipline is abOut CONTROLLING yOur EmotiOns, Mind & Will. 'It allOws a persOn tO dO what needs tO be dOne when he Or she dOsen't feel like dOin it'. And i tOtally aqree. If a leader dOsen't dO what he Or she is suppOse tO dO, the whOle team will fail just because him Or her. The best fOrm Of leadership is tO lead by EXAMPLE. Only with self-discipline, can yOu qain the RESPECT Of yOur fOllOwers. If yOU are a leader, yOu must always perservere in everythinq yOu dO nO matter what because yOur fOllOwers will fOllOw in yOur fOotsteps. If yOu qive up easily, yOur fOllOwers will think "since my leader always qive up easily, why shOuld i perservere??" If yOur fOllOwers think like this, in future, when they becOme leaders, their fOllOwers will alsO have the same thinkin.. And the whOle cycle will repeat itself.. And the whOle team will cOllapse and fail. Time Manaqement is sOmethinq we shOuld all practise. 'As a member Of the team, practise SELF TIME MANAGEMENT. Only then can yOur team be EFFICIENT and PRODUCTIVE'. If we all manaqe Our time prOperly, nO One wOuld be late and Our activities will nOt be delayed. And nO One wOuld be scOlded tOo.. They alsO asked us tO write Our qOals in life and hOw were we qOnna achieve it. sO i wrOte i wanted tO becOme a vet when i qrOw up and i alsO wrOte hOw was i qOnnq achieve it and the time limit. How dOes this lead tO self-discipline and time manaqement?? Self-Discipline~> Despite Of my never endin hmwk, i still need tO qO and bOrrOw bOoks On my passiOn and read up On it.. After my hmwk, i wOuld usually qO tO sleep.. But i still have my passiOn tO pursue sO i must nOt slack but wOrk hard.. Time Manaqement~> As i have a busy schedule, i wOnt have time tO read up.. So i have tO manaqe my time tO qO qet bOoks and read up On it..

SecOnd traininq

We learnt abOut Attitude. We alsO learnt sOme interpersOnal pOints, ways tO build qOod relatiOnships w ppl, and feelinqs that will affect yOu. This shOws us that we shOuld have e riqht thinkinq in whateva we dO.. It helps qain trust and respect frOm Our team members.. :)

Third Traininq

We learnt abOut Self-MotivatiOn and cOnflict Manaqement. Self-mOtivatiOn is
BELIEVING IN YOURSELF+BEING POSITIVE.. This lessOn teaches us On hOw tO stay mOtivated. If yOU are nOt mOtivated, yOu cannOt accOmplish anythinq prOperly at all. When there is a cOnflict, yOu must always remain calm, take respOnsibility, knOw when tO stOp...

After this 3 traininqs, i find that it can really help us in beinq a qOod leader nOt Only in Oac but everywhere.. I alsO learnt that every leader shOuld pOssess all these qOod qualities.. :)

Day 1

We started assemblinq at the rOckwall tO check baq and we left Our belOnqins in 1/2 classrOom..Then we went intO Our sleepinq qrOups and started pitchin Our tents in e field.. Since it was quite dark, we fOund it abit difficult tO pitch Our tents.. After pitchin Our tents, we went 4 war qames..^^ It was kinda difficult tO Obey e rules and it actuali let us shOw Our teamwOrk and individual strenqth.. Then we went fOr astrOnOmy.. It was sOoo nice and interestinq and nOt Onli tat, it was kinda rOmantic.. hahas...lOl... Thanks tO ms Uma, we learnt alOt abOut e stars and cOnstellatiOn..^^ After tat, we went fOr supper and went tO bath.. After tat, e juniOrs went tO sleep first then e leaders n assistant leaders had a meetinq w e teachers abOut e day.. By tat time, everyOne was ardy sO sleepy.. :O Finally, everyOne went tO sleep and tat was hOw Our day 1 ended :)

Day 2

We wOke up at 6am!!! OMG!!! EveryOne was sOoo tired as we slept late e previOus nite.. >.< We had PT-runnin at e track Opp sku..hOw did we use it then?? se it We used it On Our Adventure Race :D It was kinda fun and it allOwed us tO qet Our team wOrk tgt.. And i alsO learned sOmethin else frOm this Adventure Race which is nOt tO leave anyOne Out frOm wadeva activity and dOnt keep stayin in ur Own clique as u miqht hurt sOmeOne else feelinqs..
:( Then we had patrOl qames.. This activity is tO let e qrOup leaders bOnd w e juniOrs and vice-versa.. ;) All Our enerqy is qOne aqain.. :( Wad did we dO?? We had LUNCH :D After tat, we were suppOsed tO qet ready 4 Our hike tO Sembawanq Park but in the end, it rained heavily.. :( We had tO wait 4 e rain tO subside B4 we can qO, cuz very danqerOus.. Finally, we were able tO qO!! :) We actuali hiked 4 awhile den it started rainin aqain.. -.- Irritatin.. sO like tat, it rained and stOpped, rain n stOp.. -.- It was fun as we were able tO play in e rain n enjOy.. :D We stOpped at SSC and tOok a shuttle bus tO Sembawanq MRT statiOn, a train tO wOodlands then tOok e 901 bus back tO sku.. When we went back tO sku, we had tO qO n help dOse hu needed help w deir tents.. Then we OsO had patrOl time.. Then dinner and helped prepare 4 e campfire.. And its........................
CAMPFIRE TIME!!! Yeah.. :) It was very fun and dere were a few parents whO actuali jOined us tOo.. The sec 2, 3 and 4s were HYPER!!! Like duh.. We LOVE campfires.. But mOst Of e juniOrs were like stunned cuz maybe they're nOt used tO it ba.. Well.., it takes time 4 dem tO qet used tO it.. SEC 1s, u qOtta qet used tO dis and u havta LOVE it cuz dis is OAC!!! And u quys havta hype up tOo.. :) I lOve e campfire but i find it tOo shOrt.. >.< :( After e campfire, we had Our patrOl cOrner.. Then supper and bathinq.. After tat, we prepared tO sleep.. As usual, e juniOrs qO sleep first.. But after Our meetinq, we realised tat mOst Of e ppl were nOt asleep yet cuz mOst Of e tents were flOOded aqain.. -.- sO suay.. In the end, e teachers decided tO let us sleep in the hall.. We were beinq rushed bbecause it was late but actuali it was earlier than e previOus day.. As it rained heavily in e day, e weather at niqht was quite cOld.. I cOuldn't fall asleep as it was tOo cOld.. :p

Day 3

As usual, wOke up at 6am, have PT.. But this time, we had PT in e hall instead Of e track Opp sku and then had breakfast.. Then we played sOme qames and then we assembled at e security quard pOst and went tO RP.. :D We were split intO 2 qrOups aqain and this time we had 2 activities.. Raftin and Games :) We were qiven 2 barrels and 4 plastic pipes tO build Our raft.. It was super duper FUN!!! This activity let us wOrk tOqether as a team.. ~TEAMWORK~ Then we had qames-vOlleyball and draqOn tail.. playin w zi hui is tOuqh.. Then we went back tO schOol and have Our lunch.. Then we went back tO class and packed Our belOnqins.. We had e launchin Of Oac website OsO.. Then we recieved a shOckinq and sad news.. :( Jia Ninq said she'll be leavin us as she needs tO attend pOly ardy.. When Jia Ninq said this, jOdy n Wan Sin brOke dOwn.. We were all sO devastated.. ;( We reali will miss Jia Ninq alOt.. :) Then, ms puah returned Our belOninqs back tO us and hOme Sweet hOme.. :D

After this whOle camp, i find tat i am nOw mOre bOnded w e juniOrs and i find tat i understand dem mOre nOw.. :D

OAC camp reflection (Hadianto Wiryawan & Syazwan)

I had a very fun time during the camp as my groupmates co-operated well with the groupleader , Syazwan, and me the assistant! My groupmates were very confident during many activities. My groups attitude had drastically went up from bad to good especially the slackers.
Some examples are, during the adventurre , my group was left with only 5 people. So syazwan had to plan and he gave the plan to me and our group succeeded to pass all the activity. In the end our group became victorious!

On the first day of the camp, we played war games which thoughts us the importance of teamwork as we had to help each other to block the flame from the defender. We also slept in the tent that we had pitch earlier with our group. We also had an astronomy session had gained alot of knowledge on stars.

On the seconde day of the camp, we played adventure race and during one of the challenge zoom story which require us to use our communication skills. We then for the 'treasure hunt' which we need to have 'peserverence' as we need to track a long distance in the rain. During the campfire i bonded with other oac members as we said the cheers together.

On the last day of the camp,we went to RP and did rafting. During the session, i learn to plan things out propely as we had to creat the structure of the raft ourself.I also taught some of my juniors to unpitch the tent which allow me to practice my leadership skills.

Haiqal

I like the trainer from the leadership course. I learn the importance of having a positive attitude and self-discipline. It is very fun. I also enjoy OAC because Syazwan and Maisarah are good leaders and they make everything fun. Thank You.

OAC camp reflection (Trevor Anthony)

I feel that the camp was very fun.I feel that all the activities had brought the group closer . the group leader, Maisarah was very good . She keep the group united . When Maisarah was not around ,Faznita and Zi hui were very good as they showed a lot of initiative my making sure we were co-operative.the camp was a fun and enjoyable camp.

Belle:
hI, OAC CaMp WaS FuN, VeRy FuN!!! We bonded very well during the camp. We sometimes dun really get along well. We quarrel only sometimes. The rain really SMASHED my tent!! The fly sheet flew away as we did not pin in to the ground well. The whole tent was flooded. The astronomy part was exciting and fantastic. I got to know more about stars and their names. ThE LiTtLe DoG... ... very nice. Combination of stars. I also got to see Mars... ...!

Lyana:
heyyd..OAC camp was fantastic 'n' awesome!!The best was rafting coz i got to do somethg out of sch which is at RP!!From the camp,i learned a lot of things. i learnt about friendship, teamwork and cooperation. evendo, there is sometimes we dont get well, we will always be there for each other for encouragement and support. I also enjoyed the astronomy period.it was very exciting as it is something new for me. i learn a few stars and more about them. The most memorable part was the campfire.it was nice being together with friends and having a great time together.

Although I didn't attend the whole camp because of remedials every morning, It was fun to be with the odac members.

Other than this, I've got nothing to say.
Frankly speaking, I forgot everything that happened during the camp.

Camp reflection- Camp was Fun and exciting! We learnt many new things and skills in the camp.

Day 1: We had war games and astronomy. Both of the activities were very fun. during the astronomy lesson, i learnt about stars. using the stars i know which direction is the north and south so I can find my way out if I am lost somewhere like in a jungle. The war games required teamwork and strategy as we had to try to burn the string of the rope on the enemies side.

Day 2: We started on the Adventure race and did many activities such as, nitro crossing, cycling and many more. We liked the cycling as it was very fun cycling fast and the wind blowing on our forehead. After that we had the campfire. We had fun cheering our own group cheer. Jody and Wang Hsin were the MC's and they were very hyper.=)

Day 3: We went to Republic Poly to have rafting . Although my group failed to make the raft float, we had an enjoyable time there.

Overall, we had a wonderful time there and learnt many things. I have also bonded with my friends and group. We look forward to he June camp and hope that it will also be as fun as this camp.... Xp

Good grace, camp reflection...Camp was cool.we did alot of things. on the first day, i did some planning for the astronomy session, as well as the astronomy Power Point Presentation. We assembled and the leaders collected our valuables and i opened with a prayer.. I did not play the war games because i had to be at the astronomy viewing site to tell my fellow astronomers what would happen. after was sleep and supper and sleep and shower. The next day, after breakfast and pt,we had amazing race in school.i enjoyed it. After the amazing adventure race was the patrol games, then the camp fire. Fun and enjoyable. Kudos to the camp MCs. my group came up with a last miniute cheer. although the gl was the camp fire MC, she gave us an idea, i then took initiative and did a cheer with the team, with the AGl. On the third day, after food and pt again, we went for rafting and games at Repulic Ploytechnic. We had an enjoyable time. i ICed the dragon tail game for the first half. After lunch i went home. OAC has brought us together as one and for the past three months have been pretty fun with ya'll and especially my group, Group 4.
No doubt that it's a sweet experience for me.

I missed out the camp and i felt remorseful about it :-(

OAC camp was interesting and exciting as i got to see many of my friends and got to sleep with them. The first day, we had to play a war game and we gone out for astronomy. We had supper which was milo and biscuits. On the second day, we had a hike to sembawang park. It was rainging heavily but it was fun. halfway towards sembawang park, we had to turn back and go to Sembawang Shopping Centre(SSC) to go back to school. We had a campfire after heading back to school. The campfire was fun although i was tired. I really had fun during the camp. I hope we will have another camp soon!

The oac camp is so enjoyable.I learn many different skills and gain more friends through this camp.Now to me,navigation is way important as i could use it if i am lost.In the camp,i learn many things amd had fun by the way.Teamwork is very important in OAC as many activities require teamwork.During the hike in the camp,i enjoyed myself even when it was raining.Sadly we did not finish the hike,we have to stop halfway due to heavyrain.

I find the trip to republic poly very fun espically when my group is building the raft.Some of the rafts sink:( well its too bad however they can always try again.I hope to work with my group again and have fun on the way.

Day 1 :

Woo hoo ... Checking of bags .. Pitching of tents ! Woo hoo . Hmm , when is the last time in which i build tent ? . I LIKE the WAR GAMMEE ~~~~~ COOL ! ITs fun ! i can see that through this game , teamwork could be seen . Also , through this game , we could also see each others strong points . ^^ Astronomy .. Hmm .. Well , we learn about stars and think about it , how long have you not been sitting under the sky , or even lying down .. Lying down is great , looking at stars . Lemuel's time to talk ! It shows that he is confident about himself and its something we should learn , to be confident of yourself . Patrol corner is the time where we can spend our time together as a group , my group , ok la , will like pen down their thoughts and a good time for them to talk to each other ^^ Bathing and supper ! woo hoo .. M_I_L_O ... Mua HAHAHAHAHAHA . dont forget about bathing too .. Its nice ! after that time to have a good rest and Z Z Z .. Dont wake me up hor .. i want to sleep de hor .. Z Z Z

Day 2 :

Rise and Shine ~~ Ok la .. not very "Shine" . PT TIME !!! Ruunnnnnnnnn ... We soon had our breakfast ! Adventure Race ! Although our points are not very fantastic , but its alright . ^^ The most important thing is that our grp are together ! hee hee .. Then , we had patrol games ! The time where we had been waiting for , LUNCHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! YUm Yum .. hahas , jk XD . Sembawang Hike . Hmm .. it rained , and maybe some of people like it ! We sort of combine with jody's group although there was a part whereby there was a big gap between us . Although we did not finish to the destination , but we boiled the egg under a HDB block ( shhh , dun tell anyone ) .. Mua haha .. Maybe after some things happened ( maybe one of the thing was the tent thingy ? ) then we had campfire preparation after the dinner . The Next Thing Is ..... " Drumroll " C_A_M_P_F_I_R_EEEEEE !!!!! Ai yer .. not every person is hyper , maybe they not use too it ba .. Scarly one day they might get super high until maybe the rest nt use to it ! HAHA . We then had patrol corner .. I actually wanted to do something , but in the end no time le :( . Next , we had our supper and bath time ! That day the milo ... i think i no need to say anymore .. think a lot of people liked it !! LOLS , in the end i still say . ZZZ time ! But in the end , some of our tent got water inside , in the end , everybody sleeps in the hall .. i'm nt sure if i felt cold that night .. But in the morning ...

Day 3 :

I felt cold ! Brrr .. PT ! Then followed by breackfast . Next , we played some games ? We then assembled at the security guard and eventually went to RP for some activities that was planned . 2 groups were formed and for mine , we went to play games first . Dragon tail was not bad ^^ We had captain ball and volleyball too . For captaain ball , i learnt that we should not keep throwing the ball to the usual people , we should throw to other people and even if they are not good at it , we should still throw to them the balls . We should not left them out ! :) After playing the captain ball , we went for rafting . Thank you to a senior that helped us .. hee hee . Haha , when it was my turn , after rafting to around half alreadly , nicholas , jody , Danish ( i think ) and me , we got down the raft and we sort of like swam back .. mua haha .. Lols sia , Nicholas acted as the " engine " . But it was F ... U ,,, N ! While i was tieing the ropes , it started to rain . Then i purposely stand under the rain .. HAHA . After this , i and some people walked ss lll oo ww ll yy back to the shelter there . After visiting the toilet and so on , we went back to the school and hav our lunch . We oso packed our belongings and had the lauching of the oac website . We recieved a sad news .. Jia Ning ning ning ning ning ning had to leave us and go to her poly le .. Although sad , but she still had to go ma .. So i wish all the beest to her studies and that she will stay healthy . Jia Ning , love you ! Dun forget us hor !!!!!! Ms puah returned back our belongings and home sweet home ~~~~

OAC camp was fun. We did war games for the first night, it was quite competitive and then other group had a strategy for it. In the end, we lost, but we still had fun. Later at night, we set up the tents, and helped one another to set up to. It was pretty hard to sleep in the tent because I was quite energetic for the first night. The next day, we ate breakfast and proceeded to adventure quest. We did some team-building activities to score as many points as we can. We also learned how to take off the tyres out of the bicycle wheel.Then we had Sembawang hike, it was raining and my poncho is tearing. We had campfire after that and we slept so soundly. The next day, we went to RP for some games. We did rafting and played volleyball/captain's ball.Throughout this whole camp, I learned about a lot of things, and also bonded with my group :-)

camp was very good and fun hehehe. Im in group 2 and during the camp our group was one of the smallest group. It was kind of hard but we managed it. The sembawang hike was very tiring but one of the best. Rafting was also fun but in the end our raft did not even float even though we tried so hard. Overall camp was good~~

Day 1:

The official timing was 6 so we all gathered together @ the rockwall & have our bags checked and valuables to be surrendered to the teachers. Then we had the war game and then astronomy. The war game taught us different ways of strategies to attack the other opponents' string. It was full of chaos but at the same time, exciting.

Day 2:

We had breakfast and then off to our adventure race in school. I was one of the station master and it was really cool to instruct instructions to the groups that were playing. All of them were co-operative and I must say I enjoyed being the game master. Then we had our Sembawang hike. Even though we didn't manage to complete the whole journey, we still tried and it was pouring so we all got drenched in the rain.

Day 3:

We had our RP rendezvous. We had to build our own raft and help to keep us afloat on the water. My team did pretty well and we all enjoyed being in the water hahahaha

Then we had some games and went home @ 6pm

I obviously had lot of fun and got to know my juniors quite well and I'm happy about it and I hope that something like this will happen again! :):):):):):)

3days 2 nigth camp,we get to do different things... Our tent flooded SEH!!!! And in the end,we had to sleep in the hall

From this camp , we benefited a lot .
We learnt how to pitch a tent , cooking outdoors ,
keeping the tent , rafting etc.

During the camp , we bond together as 1 .
Learn how to , care , learn good things &
communicate between one another.
Not forgeting to help each other .

Although during the camp , it rained , we still enjoyed it.
The campfire totally ROCKS !
Jody and Wan Sin were the MC , and they were like , SUPER HYPER !

We just enjoy it although there is a lot of things happening.

Oac camp was EXCITING! We had a lot of fun and bonded with each other well. We got to learn more about our group members. The idea of patrol corner was interesting because we can learn more about our teamates. We find that the war games was FUN. It lets us build our teamwork within each other. The astronomy was very interesting. We never knew that we can navigate our way through stars. The campfire was awesome as I (JULIA) got to be the emcee. Through the adventure race we got to learn how to communicate better with each other in order to earn the maximum points. We also got to practice our knotting skills by building our very own raft. We think that our group can communicate better after this camp.

i find oac to be a very enjoyable cca because it keeps us healthy and fit. it also improves my stamina when we go for runs. i am able to bond with my team mates because we are given challenging tasks to accomplish together.

I did not attend on the first day as i had something on. Erm...second day was cool! Treasure hunt was fun. Though it was freaking raining. We did not finish the treasure hunt as there was not much time. We were drenched! Dinner was fine and finally...CAMP FIRE! My group(group 4) did a cheer. It was quite embarrassing but FUN! Ex-OAC members were there too!(Jia Ning and Sakinah) And then, WE WERE OFF TO BED.

The next day, we woke up, we went to Republic Poly for an Advanture Race. We did rafting and our group won! We then played some games. Then it started drizzing. And we had to play indoors. GOSH. I did not noticed that i was THAT rough! Ok thats it. BYE.

Shereen

Leadership course was AWESOME! I learnt a lot from this programme. Example: Time management. Attitude and Communication ect. ect. Though I did not listen much, I had FUN!!! I managed to gain new friends and even bonded with my other friends. I find the course very helpful and inspirational. I hope that I can apply what I've learnt these past 3 days in time to come! BYE!

Perseverance , Collaborating with the others and bonding with my group and another group , Pitching tents .

The hiking is very fun because my group have no leader to nag at :x

But getting sunburn is not fun ;O !

I learned from the camp that my friends are not what they turn out to be.All of them turned out to be nicer than i thought.I also learned that I can work on my attitude a bit.I had a lot of fun during the astronomy session because I learned many new things and I got to know more about my seniors,Lemuel & Natasha Vanessa.They share a passion for astronomy and really love it.And so do I.The other activities like the hike and war games were tiring but were fun.I also had a swell time at RP doing the water rafting.I did not get to ride it but at least I was able to jump in the pool.
I know 1 thing for sure

I feel that OAC is fun and the OAC camp is very fun. I learnt more things such as tentage and navigation. OAC helped me to be more independent and I enjoyed every meeting. I knew more seniors during the camp, know how to get to Sembawang using a map and I realised that we should not take things for granted such as you should be thankful for the poncho provided because there is raining and how to solve your difficulties such as pitching a tent. I also learnt teamwork is important as everybody needs help sometimes such as playing games. That all~
